This is the back porch of the Mink Cabin. Each cabin is named after an animal species that lives in the area. In this case, a family of mink lives on the other side of the creek. The porch faces the creek, so it's an ideal spot to sit in one of the rocking chairs or porch swing and enjoy the view!

On the porch of the Mink Cabin there is a porch swing, rocking chairs and a picnic table. Off the porch, there is a charcoal grill and a campfire ring.

Inside you'll find a roomy comfortable atmosphere that is tastefully furnished & decorated. These cabins were designed by me and hand built using local wood with lots of custom woodwork and hand carving. These aren't kits or plywood & masonite that looks good in a picture, but not when you get there! When you arrive, we want you to feel that your cabin is even better than the pictures!
All cabins are heated. The Kingfisher & Mink cabins have fireplaces that provide warmth as well as a cozy ambience in the colder months. Air-conditioning in all cabins will keep you comfortable in the summer. (This view is inside the Mink cabin.)

With a spacious, fully stocked kitchen you can fix any kind of meal you wish. (This will save you some money!) In the kitchen there is a four burner stove with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, full size coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, mugs, glasses, utensils and, yes, even the kitchen sink! ALL YOU NEED IS YOUR FOOD!
The Wren, Kingfisher & Mink cabins have full kitchens.
The Heron, & Bluebird cabins have a small refrigerator, a microwave & a coffee pot. All cabins have an outside grill & picnic table.

Inside the first floor bedroom of the Kingfisher and Mink cabins you'll find a comfortable queen sized bed. A large window provides a great view of the Sylamore Creek and tall bluff on the other side.
All cabins have new queen size beds, bureau and closets.
The Heron, Bluebird & Wren cabins also have a full size sleeper sofa, or a full size Futon couch.

Upstairs in the Kingfisher & Mink cabins you'll find a second bedroom with a large dormer window looking out on the creek. Kids as well as adults love these! The Kingfisher (shown), has a full size bed & a trundle bed. (The trundle bed can be used as a cozy place to read,or can be used as two singles!) The Mink cabin has two full size beds upstairs as well a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.

All cabins are non-smoking.
Smoking is permitted on porch.

If you would like to have something tended to while you are in the cabin please feel free to come to the office and we will be glad to assist you in any way possible. If you need any supplies or any lines please come to the office and we will get them for you.
